Charleston, SC to Fernandina Beach, FL Oct 29- Nov 4, 2017
After partying in Charleston, we anchored out mostly on this next leg through South Carolina and Georgia. Lovely quiet anchorages. The ICW winds along in Georgia but is beautiful with salt marshes and big views of the sky and horizon all around. These are the prettiest sunrises and sunsets of the trip in our opinion!
Many shrimping boats here. And lots of fresh shrimp and fish in the restaurants now!
We did make a new stop at St Simons Island, GA. The marina had a courtesy car, so we were able to explore the island. Saw the lighthouse and keeper's cottage.
Tended to some personal hygiene on the dock. Even cut another cruiser's hair!
Had a lovely evening cooking steaks at the marina pavilion with our friends on Blue Sky.
And we have arrived in Florida! Our first stop- Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. Dinghied in for tuna nachos at The Salty Pelican!
Life can not get ANY better than this. Outstanding job. I am so happy for your and your flotilla heading south again. What a great adventure.
